In Memory of Kyle {February 7, 2000 – May 1, 2012}

Today, we remember Kyle.

In his father’s words: “A year ago today Kyle left us.  A boy who always cared for others and faced everday with the largest smile.  To look at Kyle, one wouldn’t know the pain he was facing for he let nothing stop him or hold him back from living life on his terms, not his cancer.  Many people say Kyle was an inspiration to them for perserverence and humanity.  Kyle made us the proudest for not only did teach us that life is fragile but importantly how to live life on our own terms, to the fullest and never give up no matter what life throws at you.  Our son and brother is forever missed and loved but remains close in all we do.  Words can not express the love and appreciation that everyone continues to show to keep his memory and dream alive.  I know today he is looking down on us with some pink floyd playing and smiling.  We love you bubby!”

For the original story on how we met the McGetrick’s and why they will forever mean so much to our family, please see last year’s “Not Your Ordinary Blog Post.”   And for an amazing tribute to his life, watch this video that has had my entire family in tears this week.

We love you guys, think of you every single day, keep you in our regular prayers, and hold you close in our hearts always.  But especially today.

xoxo,

Heather & John
