Yes, it’s safe to say I was meant to meet this family. When mom called to inquire about a cake smash for her blessing of a little boy, we immediately hit it off over the phone and it instantly felt like I had known her for years. I imagine that’s how Cheryl is with most of the people she encounters- such a sweet, charismatic personality and I was so psyched our paths had crossed before we even met. When we did meet, it turns out that her husband and I both went to Penn State, are from the same town of Lancaster, PA and even went to the same school district (a few years apart).
When you schedule a cake smash session with me, it also comes with a mini family session, and for this portion Cheryl wanted to do something special to commemorate their baby Ryan who they lost as a baby. Her story touched me and after brainstorming, we came up with a few ideas you will see below. I hope I did them justice in capturing their family of four. I can’t wait to share Evan’s cake smash session because it was equally as fun (if not more!) but enjoy these for now sweet P Family…
