As a Raleigh area family photographer, it’s a fun challenge to come up with new (and gorgeous) locations for photographing families. Last year, we moved from Morrisville to Fuquay Varina and I was delighted to find this beautiful space behind our neighborhood pool. The subdivision borders a cattle farm with rolling hills, trees that turn greener than green in the springtime, and a rustic old fence. It makes me a bit giddy to know I can now share such a special spot with both my maternity and family clients.
This sweet family purchased a mini-session through a silent auction raffle benefitting my son’s preschool in Cary last year. It was an honor to meet them and photograph such gorgeous older children! I feel their session really highlights the different dynamics we catch in a family photography session. For example, you can see I will take pictures of mom and dad alone, siblings together and alone, mom with kids, dad with kids, dad with son(s)/daughter(s), mother with son(s)/daughter(s), and of course lots of full family shots together. In most family sessions with younger kids, I not only offer posed portraits but candids as well. 🙂
