Sweet Baby James {Raleigh Child Photographer}

Do you all remember sweet baby James?  Well, he’s turning one!  How time flies… To celebrate, his mama planned the most creative and amazing cake smash in their backyard.  Well, it wasn’t supposed to be outside.  But we had a random 80 degree day in February and jumped on the chance to do some outdoor pics.  We talked in the morning and by afternoon, she had a cake made and was all set to execute!  Now, I don’t want to paint the picture of perfect weather by any means either.  The entire day tormented us with the chance of storms with some mega winds and that stormy, ominous feel to the sky.  We braved these winds and looming thunderstorms and finished JUST in time before the downpour began.  Love it!

Mom had made the incredible, color-coordinated pendant banner the weekend before.  I should hire her to be my session coordinator for future cake smashes because lets be honest… how cute is this?  (In fact, she is making me several more banners… a huge thank you, I am so lucky!!)
